SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

Hundreds gathered Wednesday to remember and celebrate those famous words, "I have a dream."

August 28th is the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington, where the famous "I have a Dream" speech was given in 1963.

Dr. King also gave the same speech two month prior here in Detroit.

Wednesday afternoon, crowds gathered, ringing bells to commemorate the special occasion.
