The westbound lanes of I-30 at Ballpark Way were reopened late Sunday morning following an early morning wreck that killed two people.
Arlington police spokesman Tiara Richard says police got a 911 call from a motorist saying a vehicle had plowed into a concrete barrier that separates the westbound lanes of I-30 from the HOV lane entrance. Richard says the vehicle was on fire when emergency personnel arrived. Arlington firemen put out the flames and found two bodies inside the vehicle.
Motorists heading west on I-30 were forced to exit the interstate. The westbound lanes of the interstate were reopened several hours later.
The names of the two victims have not yet been released.
