MELISSA, Texas -

Part of Highway 75 in Collin County was closed early Tuesday because of a head on collision between a wrong-way driver and a big rig.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. in Melissa, north of McKinney.

Police suspect the driver of a car was drunk and driving in the wrong direction. The crash caused an 18-wheeler to jack-knife and spill about 60 gallons of diesel.

The driver of the car was flown to the hospital in serious condition. The truck driver was treated at the scene.
