DISD makes changes to fix transportation troubles

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

As students return to class Tuesday the Dallas Independent School District, some parents will be hoping for a smoother trip to school.

Last week there was a lot of confusion over the district's plan to save money by having a contractor send taxis, minivans and unmarked cars to take some kids to school.

Parents were upset because they said they weren't told of the change before they school year began.

The contractor has said by Tuesday all vehicles will have magnetic signs identifying them.
