Garland Dollar General clerk shot during attempted robbery

Two armed men shot a Dollar General clerk during an attempted robbery in Garland on Monday night.

Surveillance video shows the suspects coming into the store on N. Jupiter Road around 9:30 p.m. wearing masks.

Both suspects had handguns and shot at the clerk, who was hit in the arm and the leg. The clerk is expected to survive the shooting.

Police said the suspects got no money during the attempted robbery.

The first suspect is a dark skinned male, approximately 5'7" with a thin build, according to police.  The second suspect is a light skinned male, approximately 5'7" with a thin build.
