Charter school sends students to other campuses

Posted: Updated:

Students who attend a charter school in southwest Dallas will be bused to another campus again Tuesday.

The Harmony School of Nature campus still has not passed building inspections, forcing 700 students to be bused to another campuses operated by Harmony.

"First of all, I didn't even know there was a problem. Me as a parent, I never knew about that. And I think they should have sent something to us about that," said Sarah Khao.

The city said the school was repeatedly warned about fire code and other violations.

"We are working very, very hard with our contractors to remedy all the situations brought to our attention. Unfortunately we were not able to get that done on time," said Julie Norton with the Harmony School.

There will be another inspection on Thursday.
