Four hurt when car crashes into Carrollton house

Posted: Updated:

Four people were hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a car crashed into the back of a Carrollton home.

Fire department officials said a car crashed through two fences and into the back of a house in the 2000 block of Victoria Cove around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Three people, a mother and two children, were in the home at the time. The homeowner says his sister and her two children weren't hit by the vehicle, but were hit by debris.

They were taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The female driver of the car was also injured and taken to an area hospital. Her official condition is still unknown.

Carrollton police are on the scene and an investigation into the crash is underway. Police aren't sure what cause the woman to crash into the house.
