Dallas PD: Insurance agency robber getting more aggressive

Posted: Updated:

Dallas police believe an armed man robbing insurance agencies is becoming more aggressive.

The suspect hit at least nine insurance companies since mid-July in Oak Cliff, Pleasant Grove and Irving.

Police said the bandit seems to know where independent agents are making transactions with cash.

The suspect usually strikes during the morning or early afternoon hours and police said he's becoming more aggressive with each robbery.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25-30 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" with a thin build. In one of the robberies he left the scene in a red 2008 Ford Explorer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dallas police at 214-671-3661.
