Vehicle damaged in wreck sets Frisco house on fire

Posted: Updated:

Frisco firefighters say a car parked in a home's driveway caught on fire and it spread to the house.

It happened in the 11000 block Huntington just after 4 o'clock Sunday morning. A passerby saw it first and called 911.

The people inside the house were sleeping when the fires broke out. The homeowner told firefighters the car had been in an accident earlier in the day. Frisco Fire Department says when the vehicle caught fire, the flames spread to the house and into the home's two attics. FFD also reports heavy damage to the home.

Investigators say the fire does not appear to be suspicious. Five engines, a truck, and an ambulance as well as the department's Light Air Rehab and Heavy Rescue vehicles responded to the call.

No one was hurt.
