Dare2Tri helps local para-triathletes overcome obstacles!

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Hailey Danisewicz, a Chicago athlete who lost her leg to cancer 10 years ago, is competing in a London triathlon on Friday.

As part of Dare2Tri, she and other para-triathletes are overcoming obstacles and sky-rocketing into greatness! Co-founder Keri Schindler explained how the non-profit got its start and Melissa Stockwell spoke on being a mentor on Good Day Chicago Monday morning.

They're training for the 2016 Paralympics, where they'll compete with their peers from across the globe. For some, it seemed impossible. But now they're working together with USAT certified coaches to achieve their swim, bike and run to gold!

The club is open to youth and adult athletes of all skill-levels with a physical disability or visual impairment. For more information, visit Dare2Tri's website.
