A local group that helps out injured soldiers has finished its second project.
Spirit of a Hero helped renovate the home of Sgt. Jordan Folmar, who lost both legs while serving in Afghanistan.
Some of the changes included wider doors and doorframes so a wheelchair can get through and lower countertops.
Spirit of a Hero founder Rick Turner said its projects like this that can make a difference for veterans.
"Jordan gave both of his legs for our freedom," Turner said.
Folmar finished rehab at a facility on the East Coast recently and hopes to be out of the service and back in Texas by January.
"I'd just like to tell Spirit of a Hero, 'Thank you!' I can't thank them enough for fixing my home up," Folmar said.
