Dallas ISD superintendent Mike Miles spoke publicly on Tuesday for the first time since an independent report cited he violated board policy and interfered with an internal investigation.
Miles said he is here to stay despite what the report said.
"I'm here. I'm committed to the kids of Dallas ISD. 160,000 kids. I'm not going anywhere. I'm moving forward and our staff got the new school year underway and we're just going to continue to do that," Miles said.
Miles joked that he wanted to changes his name because of what he called negative press surrounding the report.
DISD trustees are meeting on Saturday behind closed doors to discuss the report, but the board president told FOX4 he doesn't expect to take any action.
