Three suburban men have been arrested in a drug bust that began after five pounds of marijuana were delivered to a home in Naperville.

Danial M. Waseem, 24, of Naperville; Awais M. Khan, 27, of Des Plaines; and Nickolas J. Gelardi, 18, of Bolingbrook were arreste. Waseem and Khan are charged with trafficking in marijuana and manufacture/delivery of marijuana. Gelardi was charged with manufacture/delivery.

On Wednesday, U.S. Postal Inspection Service agents and Naperville police conducted an investigation in various locations in Will, DuPage and Cook counties after postal inspectors intercepted a suspicious package containing five pounds of marijuana.

It was to be delivered to a home on the 800 block of Pueblo Court in Naperville. Agents and officers made the delivery, then watched Waseem and Khan leave with the marijuana and drive to Gelardi's house in Bolingbrook.

They were seen making "hand to hand" drug transactions with buyers in Naperville area business parking lots, and were conducting a drug transaction with Gerardi when they were taken into custody without incident, police said.

In addition to the package of marijuana, additional large amounts of pot, cash and paraphernalia were found in Waseem's car and Gelardi's residence, police said.

The cahrges were filed in Will County, with additional charges pending in DuPage and Cook.
