Dallas man killed for pushing someone

Posted: Updated:

Dallas police say a man killed someone just for pushing him. Johnny Ray Walker is now facing a felony murder charge.

Police say Walker shot Charles Oneal Turner several times around 4:09 p.m. Saturday in the 5500 block of Lamar Street.

A witness says earlier in the day, Walker claimed someone had pushed him. That same witness told police, Walker tried to sell him a gun.

The witness says Walker told him if he bought the pistol, he wouldn't shoot the person who pushed him. The witness says he didn't have the money, and told Walker shooting the person wasn't worth the trouble.

Hours later, the witness told police he saw Walker standing over Turner and pumped several bullets into the victim.

According to the police report, after the shooting Walker told the witness he didn't like being pushed.

Officers arrested Walker several blocks away from the fatal shooting. DPD says there were several witnesses.

Walker is in jail on a $500,000 bond.
