PHOENIX (AP) - House Minority Leader Chad Campbell says he won't be running for Arizona governor next year.
The four-term Democratic lawmaker from Phoenix announced the decision Tuesday on his Facebook page.
Campbell says he needs "to focus on my family and other new business opportunities that will allow me to improve communities not only in Arizona, but also across the nation."
He says he won't run for anything in 2014, but wouldn't rule out future runs for other offices.
Campbell's decision leaves former state Board of Regents chairman Fred DuVal as the only Democrat in the gubernatorial race.
Former Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman, Sen. Al Melvin and former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas are among those who have filed to run for governor on the Republican side.
