Fish at Chicago aquarium turns 80

Posted: Updated:

The oldest living fish in captivity enjoyed a special cake Tuesday.

Granddad is an Australian lungfish that has been at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago for 80 years.

Caretakers are not sure about Granddad's actual age. The fish was fully grown when it arrived at the aquarium during the 1933 world's fair.

Tuesday's ice cake included the fish's favorite snacks: krill, clams, grapes and lettuce.

Granddad is 4 feet long and weighs about 20 pounds.
