Nearly 100 students and staff were tested for tuberculosis
at Nimitz High School in Irving on Wednesday.
The Dallas County Health Department notified the school last
week a student tested positive for TB.
The health department offered free TB tests to
anyone who believed they may have been exposed to that student last spring.
"It went well. It was very smooth," said Irving ISD
spokeswoman Lesley Weaver. "We got the students in, back out and right to class."
The school said the tests were offered as a precaution.
Students and staff who were tested today are expected to know their results by
