Police chase ends in Pleasant Grove

Posted: Updated:

A police chase started Wednesday evening with phone calls about an erratic driver at the Walmart at I-635 & Centerville in Garland and ended at a Walmart in Pleasant Grove.

Several law enforcement chased the suspect around the Pleasant Grove area from Bucker Blvd. to Grand Avenue, sometimes at speed of 80-90 MPH. He hit several parked cars in the process.

It's unclear if the suspect was under the influence of drugs or alcohol or if he was armed.

The suspect allegedly has a lengthy criminal history.

Police say he jumped out of his car and ran into the Pleasant Grove Walmart where Sheriff's deputies and Dallas police officers were able to arrest him.

The suspect began screaming at officers from the back of the squad car which led them to put him in an ambulance.

It doesn't appear that anyone was injured in the chase.
