Lochte Reality Show Canceled

Ryan Lochte, Olympic gold metalist turned reality star, will not return to our screens with his "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" reality show, according to TV Line.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the show got canceled because it didn't get the ratings that everyone expected. The series received a sizable marketing push by E! for the gold medalist in April, but it opened to only about 807,000 viewers. The show and its eight-episode run averaged about 440,000 views, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The show's cancellation is despite Lochte being nominated for a Teen Choice Award in July. Lochte did an interview with Good Day a few months ago to promote his reality show. His personality was so charming and cute that he make FOX 29's Sheinelle Jones cry. Watch the video above for the full segment.

According to NBC Sports, Lochte now plans to train in Australia for a few months to prepare for the 2016 Olympics.
