MESA, Ariz. -

Mesa Police are searching for a father and his two daughters who were last seen in May.

Investigators say the man has a warrant out for his arrest and he may be in northern Arizona, Colorado or even Mexico.

Family members say the man, who has custody of the girls, cut himself off from the family for religious reasons.

Thinking he left for the summer, the man's mother didn't report him missing until a few days ago.

Police do not suspect foul play.  They say the father and his daughters packed up and left, but no one has seen or heard from them in months.

"Just want my kids.. grand kids back as the whole family does," said the girls' grandmother, Diane Durbin.

Police say 38-year-old Christopher Creech and his two daughters, 11-year-old Krissanna Creech and 9-year-old Shayanna Creech, haven't been seen since they disappeared from their home near Main Street and Extension Road on May 26.

Durbin says she made a mistake in not immediately reporting her son missing.

"He picked up the girls on their last day of school and he resigned from his job, so him being the avid outdoorsmen that they are, they spend almost every weekend in the mountains.  They backpack, they fish.. they hike.  They've learned how to live off the land.  My son is very much a survivalist, so I wrongfully assumed they took off for the summer to spend the summer in the mountains like he talked about doing."

When the girls didn't start the new school year in August, the family got concerned.

Police say Creech has a warrant for his arrest for violating probation.

In 2010, he was sentenced to three years probation for theft and aggravated assault of a police officer.  But his family says he would never hurt his daughters.

"If he gets this.. if my granddaughters can hear me.. they have a grandmother and grandfather.. and a family that wants to help him.. will reach out to him and come get him.  All he's gotta do is let us know where he's at," said Durbin.

Christopher, Krissanna and Shayanna may be in a blue 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with Arizona license plate AMX4983.

11-year-old Krissanna is described as a white female with brown hair, hazel eyes, 4' 4" tall, weighing 60 pounds.  She wears glasses and has a space in between her front teeth.

9-year-old Shayanna is described as a white female with brown hair, brown eyes, 4' tall, weighing 40 pounds.

Christopher is a 38-years-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, 6' tall, weighing 180 pounds.  He has a tattoo of a lion on his chest.

If you have any information about this case, call the Mesa Police.
