Crime Stoppers offers reward in Berlin Twp. hit-and-run

Police say Christopher Demrose of Berlin Twp. was walking on Hough Rd., west of Berville Rd., around 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 5, 2012 when he was struck by a passing vehicle that then fled the scene.

Demrose was transported to McLaren Hospital in Mount Clemens where he died from his injuries.

Demrose overcame many obstacles in his life. He was born with a double hair lip, a cleft palette and had no left hand. He was working at the Achatz Pie Company in Chesterfield Twp. and wanted to become the head baker there. He loved spending time with his family and helping others. He also enjoyed spending time in Scotland.
