ATLANTA -

A tip for those who would want to sell stolen property by using Craigslist: Don't. FOX 5 cameras were there as Atlanta Police arrested a man they say tried to do just that this week.

Investigators say Terry Legge stolen a motorcycle and posted it as being for sale on the classifieds website Craigslist. The vigilant former owner saw the posting and alerted police.

When Legge brought the stolen motorcycle to a gas station parking lot off North Highland Avenue with the intent to sell it, he was instead met by Atlanta Police detectives. They say the VIN matched that of the stolen motorcycle.

Legge was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property as well as traffic charges due to an improper and expired license as well as expired insurance. He was released on a $2,900 signature bond.

Detectives say they are now looking into if Legge may be connected to similar criminal Craigslist transactions.
