Police said they were forced to fire their guns on a suspect early Sunday morning after a reported shooting in Frankford.
The incident happened after reports of a shooting on the 4600 block of Paul St. A man and a woman had been shot.
Police saw a man matching the description of the suspect running down the 4600 block of Frankford Avenue a.
The suspect ran east on Margaret St where and pointed the gun at police, an officer fired his weapon at the man.
The suspect was taken to hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
FOX 29's Omari Flemming went out to the scene Sunday afternoon to talk family members who said the suspect was involved in a relationship with the female shooting victim.
It appears that the suspect was a former boyfriend of the 21-year-old woman who was shot. The victim's brother was also shot. Both are listed in critical condition at Hahnemann Hospital.

The police involved shooting is being investigated by internal affairs.
