Two men wanted for ditching Hall County work release

Posted: Updated:
HALL COUNTY, Ga. -

The Hall County Sheriff's Office is making sure locals are aware of two men – 35-year-old Randall Darryl Ladd and 38-year-old Joseph Dale McAllister -- wanted for ditching work release last Wednesday.

Deputies say they're wanted on outstanding escape warrants for failing to return to Hall County work release.

Sheriff's deputies got word of the two suspects while responding to a call regarding two suspicious men in the Ponderosa Farm Road area of South Hall on Sunday. Reports say one of the men was going door-to-door because his vehicle had run out of gas.

When deputies arrived, one man ran off and the second man couldn't be found, the Sheriff's Office said. Deputies located and ran a check on the vehicle in question, discovering it was registered to a person wanted for failing to return to work release.

The Sheriff's Office carried out a manhunt for the two men; calling off their efforts by 4 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information concerning either Ladd or McAllister's whereabouts is asked to contact Hall County Sheriff's Office at 770-531-6900 or the warrant unit at 770-531-6907.
