Officiant stops wedding to demand photographers leave

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest. Some dream of their big day from a very young age and hope that it will be perfect. But for one couple, it just wasn't in the cards.

Photographers are typically a given at weddings these days, as couples want to capture every special moment – especially the ceremony. Participants usually turn a blind eye, and pretend like the crews are just a part of the scenery as they do their work.

Just as this couple's ceremony got underway, the wedding officiant stopped and turned to the photographer and videographer behind him and asked them to leave.

A couple of clicks later, the officiant still had not turned back around. The couple seemed to be shocked into silence and did not know what to do.

"This is a solemn assembly, not a photography session," the officiant said. "Please move, or I will stop. I will stop this ceremony if you do not get out of the way. This is not about the photography. This is about God."

When the photographer asked where he should go, the officiant suggested, "Anywhere but here."

The YouTube video ends with the camera capturing the photographers' departure from the ceremony. Murphy's Law prevails once again.
