The defamation case against the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle will not be moved to Texas.
On Tuesday a U.S. District Court judge denied his widow's request to have the case moved closer to home. Instead, she will have to continue traveling to Minnesota to defend him against Former Gov. Jesse Ventura.
Ventura filed the lawsuit after Kyle published his book "American Sniper." In it there is story about a fight between Kyle and a man named "Scruffy Face," who he said bad-mouthed President George W. Bush and the military.
During interviews about the book Kyle said he knocked out Ventura in a bar in 2006. But Ventura claims the fight never happened, the story isn't true and he has photos to prove it.
Kyle was killed in February at a gun range allegedly by an Iraq war veteran who he was trying to help.
His widow is now named as the defendant in the case. The suit would go after his estate.
Ventura has also asked for a retraction.
