COATESVILLE, Pa. -

Shocked and angry parents are already showing up for Tuesday night's Coatesville Area School District board meeting to ask questions about racially charged text messages.

Superintendent Richard Como and Athletic Director James Donato both resigned just before the start of this school year.

The Daily Local newspaper is reporting it uncovered several pages of racially-charged text messages sent between the two men.

Some of the texts allegedly mentioned students and faculty.

The Chester County District Attorney's Office confirms it has launched a criminal investigation.

The district issued a letter to the community ahead of Tuesday night's meeting.

"Today is a sad day for all of us in the Coatesville Area School District," the letter reads. "Just yesterday our community was made aware of inappropriate and racial comments that may have been made by people we trusted. Although this has temporarily deflated our spirits it will never defeat us."

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
