Dallas woman robbed in garage of Lakewood home

Posted: Updated:

Dallas police said two men held up a woman in the garage of her Lakewood home on Monday night.

Police said two men pointed a shotgun at Susan White while she unloaded her minivan with her 7-year-old daughter. White saw the gunman, screamed and threw her purse at them.

"There were two people crouching with scarves on their faces with dark colored scarves. So I screamed and they stayed and I saw the shotgun at that point. I realized I had two bags on my arm so I threw my bags at them and they took off," said Susan White.

The two men fled the scene in a dark colored sedan parked on the street.

A neighbor who saw the men flee said they appeared to have t-shirts over their faces.

The credit card of the woman was later used at Fuel City gas station near downtown Dallas.

According to a crime watch email sent to neighbors, this is the third violent crime to happen in this upscale community in the past few weeks.

White says she'll be making some changes to her routine.
