DALLAS -

Plenty of North Texans noticed something strange floating in the air this morning.

Lots of viewers called and emailed FOX 4 asking about the mysterious webs. People reported seeing them in the air and on everything from trees and power lines to their dogs' faces.

Apparently spiders are "ballooning" this week. Remember Charlotte's Web?

Experts from the Texas Cooperative Extension wrote, "spiderlings disperse by "ballooning." They spin a single silk thread which is caught by the wind, which carries them to a new location."

So don't worry. There's no spider invasion and Spiderman didn't come through town. But if you spot a web with the phrase "Some Pigs" in it, please send the photo to fox4@myfoxdfw.com.
