The attorney for accused Fair Park rapist Van Dralen Dixson said he will enter a not guilty plea for his client.
Dixson was arrested and is charged in five of the nine sexual assaults in the Fair Park area over the summer. He is currently in jail on more than $5 million bond.
Attorney Kenneth Weatherspoon is Dixson's court appointed attorney and said he will enter the not guilty plea despite Dixson admitting to two of the attacks and claiming the others were prostitution deals gone bad.
"He explained to me his position which of course, I can't discuss, but we will be entering a plea of not guilty," Weatherspoon told FOX4. "I don't want to discuss the evidence. I hadn't seen that evidence and would prefer that we wait and deal with that evidence inside the courtroom."
One of the victims in the case is also speaking out ahead of Dixson's trial.
A woman who FOX4 is only identifying as ‘T' said she was walking to a store to buy cigarettes between 5 and 6 a.m. when she was attacked.
"I was looking down at the ground he wasn't behind me he wasn't beside of me it's like he just popped up," T said. "When I looked up he said you better not scream. I said okay, I'm not fixing to scream."
T said Dixson had a gun that he pulled out when he talked to her. She asked him not to hurt her because she had kids. T said Dixson also asked her if she want him to use a condom.
T said she recognized Dixson when TV footage showed him being brought into Lew Sterrett jail in Dallas.
"I was like that's that b---- that raped me," T said.
