Missing Haltom City boy reunited with parents

Posted: Updated:

Nine year old Demetrice "DJ" Curley was reunited with his parents Saturday morning.

Haltom City police spent much of Friday evening and early Saturday searching for the little boy after he did not come home. Haltom City police spokesman Sgt. Steve Reiss says the youngster and his dog left the family home about 5pm Friday. Two hours later the dog came home but Demetrice was nowhere to be found.

Just after 9am Saturday morning a Haltom City police detective spotted the youngster walking along the street toward his home. The child apparently was never in danger, he had spent the night at a friend's house.
