High School Football Turns Into Brawl

Posted: Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -

A high school football game in Indiana turns into an all-out brawl. A player gets tackled out of bounds and that sets off the fight.

Players start a shoving match and fans get involved. And then, two assistant coaches jump in, throwing punches. Police were eventually brought in to control the fight.

Arsenal Tech high school, one of the teams involved, says that the coach has been suspended.

"We teach our kids not to retaliate. What happened, and the fact that he did throw a punch, even though he was hit and provoked, is something that we just can't condone," says Emil Ekyor, the head coach of Tech High School's football team.

The Tech coach involved in the fight needed stitches. He says he's pressing charges. The Indiana High School Athletic Association is investigating the incident.
