Dallas woman under investigation after white powder scare

Posted: Updated:

A Dallas woman will be investigated after authorities said she sent a letter with white powder through the mail.

Dallas firefighters responded to a white powder scare call at the Cole Manor Apartments on Sunday night in the 4800 block of Cole Manor Place.

Police said the woman mailed the letter to someone she was angry with, but got the address wrong.

It was returned to sender and someone in her home opened it and became suspicious.

Firefighters trained in handling hazardous materials tested the powder overnight and found it was not dangerous.
