Medford NJ Couple Travels The World Dressed In White

Posted: Updated:

"March 19th 2008," recalls Jeff and Jenn Salvage who remember their wedding day on Easter Island in Chile like it was yesterday.

"It was majestic, mysterious, gorgeous and beautiful," said Jenn. But the end of the big day was bitter sweet.  "I think on the way home there was just a little sadness like it's a shame we won't wear the dress again," she said.

Then in a flash, the couple thought of a way to constantly re-live the day they cherish.

"We knew we had all these fantastic travel plans the summer after we got married. We were going to China and the Alps and at some point we said what if we take the dress along and just kept taking incredible wedding shots," recalled Jenn. So that's what they did.

"Some of my favorites are probably from New Zealand and Egypt," said Jenn. Their two traveling necessities are Jeff's camera and Jenn's wedding dress.

"And a flat iron, makeup and jewelry. These are things that never went anywhere with me," laughed Jenn.

The dress has taken the Medford New Jersey couple to 19 countries over the past five years.

"We've hit six continents so far. The only one we haven't touched is Antarctica," said Jeff.

They also published a book of their wedding dress travels. It shows just how many miles they've put on the marriage in about five years. But the dress still has a long and very non-traditional journey ahead.

"We're not quite in space yet but with the Zero-G experience we've scheduled the flight that we're going to go up and experience like the astronauts do. It will be weightlessness and Jennifer's going to be floating above me as I take the shot," smiled Jeff.

But the couple's ultimate wedding dress goal?

"I want to write a memoir that we hope to get picked up by a publisher and ultimately if there could be a movie deal," dreams Jenn.
