WATERFORD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police in Oakland County are trying to identify a break-in suspect seen walking through a Waterford family's home earlier this week.

Chief Dan McCaw says a man pried open a sliding door at the home on the 2400 block of Georgeland around 9 a.m. Monday morning. Officers responding to the home's alarm system found the residence empty when they arrived.

The homeowner was not home at the time of the break-in, but did give authorities surveillance footage that shows an unknown white male walking through the home's kitchen and dining area. The suspect is described as approximately 5' 10", bald with a goatee. He was wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the man's identity is asked to call police at 248-618-7515.
