The Dallas County elections office is working to make sure people understand the new voter ID requirements ahead of next month's elections.
The county is looking at state driver's license and identification records to find voters who may have trouble meeting the new requirements, or whose names are different than their voter registration records.
County commissioners agreed to spend $145,000 to mail notices to those voters to let them know how to get their proper ID before the election.
District Attorney Craig Watkins will also answer common questions on Twitter. Questions can be submitted to @CraigMWatkins using #AskCraig.
Voters will head to the polls on Nov. 5 to vote on constitutional amendments and several local issues.
