DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) -

A man accused of killing two workers at a Dearborn discount store is returning to court for a hearing that could send him to trial on first-degree murder charges.

Joseph Orlando was fatally shot in July at a Family Dollar store on Michigan Ave. The body of co-worker Brenna Machus was found a few days later in woods a few miles away.

A Dearborn judge must decide whether there's enough evidence to send Lavere Bryant to trial in Wayne County court. The hearing starts Friday.

Bryant declared his innocence when he was charged.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive, although Bryant was fired from Family Dollar last spring.
