Jordin Sparks: Doing A Music Video Is Very Different

Posted: Updated:

"I learned so much from them." That's Jordin Sparks singing the praises of her young costars in the new movie "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete".

The movie's about two young boys who are left to fend for themselves when their mothers are taken away by the authorities. She told Steve and Araksya that she was in awe at how professional these kids acted in front of and behind the camera. "They were just so amazing and they were working 8 hours every single day. I had my little scenes where'd I'd come in but they're doing the whole film, they're carrying it."

Jordin says she got emotional when she first read this script...especially because kids were involved. "To see kids experience things that are just really hard that even adults wouldn't probably be able to get through, it gets to you...the script that I read was definitely different than the edit at the end, but I think it turned out amazingly well."

Sparks says it doesn't matter what kind of art she's creating, she's down for whatever. "The whole creative umbrella you know, everything that falls underneath that whether it's painting or dancing or acting or singing I love doing it all."

Speaking of love, Steve and Araksya asked Jordin about the music video she stars in with her boyfriend...it's called "Marry Me" and features him popping the question to her. Will life soon imitate art?

"When that happens, when we do get married we wanna be able to sit together and enjoy the fact that we've created this union together, we don't want to be on tour and all this stuff..."I know that he's it...we're good, like we know where we are with everything, everybody else just wants to see the big rock!"
