Korean Air flight makes emergency landing at DFW Airport

Posted: Updated:

A Korean Air Flight out of DFW Airport had to make an emergency landing Sunday shortly after takeoff.

FOX 4 Senior Web Producer, Mark Norris, was on the flight.  He says about a minute after takeoff, a woman on the left-hand side of the plane yelled "Fire!"  The Captain told the passengers there was a problem with the engine on that side of the aircraft and that they would return to DFW.

Norris said the crew did a good job of keeping the passengers calm while the pilot spent about 45 minutes dumping fuel over Tarrant County.

DFW Airport said in a statement that there was no sign of a fire once the plane returned to the airport.  The flight has been rescheduled for Monday morning.
