Some middle school students in Connecticut are getting in trouble for the popular catchphrase from a Geico commercial.
It seems the children at Vernon Center Middle School have been imitating the "Hump Day" camel. They recite the commercial every day and teachers want it to stop.
"Everybody's walking around in the hallways saying it's hump day in that weird voice," said Brooke Lewis, a student. "It's getting old now. The hump day thing is getting old."
Some parents said they can't wait for the catchphrase to die down so bigger issues can be focused on.
"I think it's all kind of silly. I think there's bigger things to take care of in a middle school than that. Obviously you don't want the kids to be disruptive," said Mick Ruggerio, a parent.
