Police: 2 held after shooting on I-75 in Detroit

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (AP) -- State police say they've arrested two people following a shooting along Interstate 75 in Detroit that left a woman wounded.

Police said in a statement late Thursday that the suspects are being held pending review from the Wayne County prosecutor's office.

A stretch of I-75 was closed for several hours following the Tuesday afternoon shooting. Authorities have said a vehicle followed another one onto the interstate and someone inside opened fire. A woman in the vehicle that was followed had a gunshot wound to the leg.

State police say they also recovered the vehicle involved in the shooting, which took place during the evening rush hour period.
