Protestors rally against seed company

Posted: Updated:

Protestors outside of Dallas City Hall Saturday afternoon rallied against genetically modified foods in a movement known as "March Against Monsanto".  The protest was part of a global movement against the seed giant, the largest maker of genetically modified foods.  Critics allege Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMO's, can lead to serious health concerns and damage the environment.  Health advocates say they want mandatory labeling of GMO products.  The federal government, along with many in the scientific community, says GMO's are safe.  Genetically Modified Organisms have also been blamed, by some, for wiping out a portion of the world's bee population.
