Vandals spray paint Arlington church

Posted: Updated:

Vandals hit an Arlington church, spray painting several exterior walls with messages in blue and black paint.

It happened at the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on North Davis Drive. The graffiti was mostly in Spanish. On one wall the word muerte, meaning death, was painted in large letters.

"Somebody bad did that. Someone disgusting," said parishioner Eduardo Bocanegra. "It really bothers me. I wish I could catch the person who did it. I'd teach them a good lesson."

Bocanegra says the graffiti was discovered Sunday morning. He says it's the first time it's happened at the church that he's aware of.

He hopes whoever is responsible is caught and punished.

"They should be put away for good," said Bocanegra.
