Missing Garland man not seen since Friday

Posted: Updated:

The search for a missing elderly man from Garland continues with no new information about his whereabouts.

Police said 82-year-old Hal Ticknor left his home near the 2000 block of Morningside Drive in Garland before 11 a.m. Friday. He has dementia so a Silver Alert was issued when he did not return.

He was seen twice later that day near Lake Ray Roberts, north of Denton. He stopped in Tioga around 4:30 p.m. to ask for directions to Garland. Then he used his credit card to purchase gas in Valley View around 9:15 p.m.

But, police said there have been no verified sightings since then.

Ticknor is possibly wearing a long-sleeved, khaki shirt with gray slacks. He is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He has silver hair and green eyes. He is likely driving a silver 2007 Chevrolet Equinox with the Texas license 599-SNC.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Garland Police Department at 972-205-1628.
