Two lanes of westbound Interstate 20
in Dallas were closed Wednesday afternoon due to a damaged bridge.
A large hole opened up in the right
lanes of I-20 over Houston School Rd., causing the interstate to be shutdown
entirely for a short period Wednesday. Eventually police opened up two of the
four lanes to traffic, but the closure resulted in major traffic backups.
Drivers were urged by officials to
avoid westbound I-20 between Lancaster Rd. and Houston School Rd. due to the
Officials estimated the two rights
lanes would be closed until at least 9 p.m. on Thursday for emergency repair
