Purported white supremacist appears in Arizona court

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- A man who authorities say once tried to set up a whites-only nation in America will remain jailed in Arizona for at least another day.
Kirby Kehoe was arrested earlier this week at his sprawling ranch near Ash Fork and charged with possessing a weapon.
A federal magistrate held a detention hearing Thursday in Flagstaff but delayed a decision until Friday.
The 65-year-old Kehoe appeared frail and winced in pain during the hearing. His attorney argued he's not a danger or a flight risk.
The prosecutor says Kehoe's history, along with the marijuana and firearms seized from his property, warrant keeping him behind bars.
Kehoe's son, Cheyne, also is in custody on a weapons charge. Both men have previous felony convictions and are banned from possessing weapons.
