Saginaw teen indicted for shooting Arlington cop during arrest

Posted: Updated:

A teenager accused of murdering a six-year-old Saginaw girl has been indicted for shooting a police officer who tried to arrest him.

Tyler Holder, 17, got in a shootout in July when officers went to arrest him for the murder of Alanna Gallagher.

Arlington Det. Charles Lodatto was shot in the groin during the struggle and Holder was shot in the head. Both survived the shooting.

A Tarrant County Grand Jury found enough evidence to put Holder on trial for attempted capital murder for Lodatto's shooting.

Holder is also charged with capital murder for Gallagher's death and remains jailed on a $1 million bond.
