Man hit by DART train survives; leaves hospital

Posted: Updated:

A North Texas man, who survived being hit by a DART train, has been released from the hospital.  The accident happened less than two weeks ago on October 7th.  Victor Hoover was catching his usual train at Victory Park, he had just left class.  But instead of boarding the train, he tripped onto the tracks.  Part of his skull was crushed when the train ran over him and he's had two surgeries in the last two weeks.

He says he was walking too fast and should've slowed down and he urges other passengers to be extra careful around train tracks.  He also thinks DART should come up with a way for passengers to completely avoid the tracks.
