Shots fired during police chase in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -

Authorities said shots were fired during a pursuit of burglary suspects in Carroll County on Tuesday.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, a deputy in Villa Rica began chasing a suspicious vehicle off of South Van Wert Road.

The chase spanned about 10 miles and involved the Carroll County Sheriff's Office and Carrollton Police Department.

The pursuit ended in the Foxfire subdivision on Woodland Court off of Stewart Street in Carrollton. Two suspects were taken into custody.

There were no injuries and authorities did not specify who fired the shots.
