A gas station is looking to expand one of its Phoenix locations, but residents in the area are saying "no way" and both sides are getting ready for a show down.
The fight is taking place at 7th Street and Roosevelt, just north of downtown Phoenix.
The Circle K on the corner wants to move across the street into a much bigger lot that's currently empty.
Neighbors in the Garfield Historic District have been fighting the move for a while. They actually protested the plan last year, saying they didn't like the size of the new location or that it would sell hard liquor.
Now Circle K has a downsized plan with two fewer gas pumps. The company also says that it won't sell hard liquor at the new location.
But neighbors say there's a lot of trouble already from the current station and others in the area which still sell beer and wine.
A hearing to zone the new lot of liquor sales will take place Oct. 31st at City Hall.
